Work
After graduating from the University of Strathclyde, Brian trained with an international firm of chartered accountants. A native of Dumfries, he returned to the area after qualifying in 1984. Brian works in general practice, providing services to a wide range of clients, including those in the professions such as solicitors, doctors, and dentists. He also undertakes internal audit. A registered insolvency practitioner and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland Briefing Panel, he has also advised many businesses and individuals who have had financial difficulties. He joined Armstrong Watson in 2006 on the merger of Manson and Partners.

Brian is an avid traveller. He takes part in numerous outdoor pursuits including hill walking, cycling, mountain biking and squash, and he enjoys skiing (badly!).
